Background - With the secure of FOB Emery the 1st ID has been redeployed to a small fob outside of Saigon, The city after taking heavy bombardment and sporadic fighting in the streets the city is mostly controlled by NVA, and Viet-cong forces. There are small pockets of Marine, army, and R.O.K forces still holding areas within the occupied zone.

Mission Brief - Before the counter offensive can begin the 1st ID must secure the old palace and destroy NVA communication equipment. Without that they will not be able to mount a proper defense of the city. Once the communication equipment is destroyed move to the south east sector of the city and locate and destroy anti air emplacements to allow reinforcements to be air dropped into the city and air strikes to recommence.
