November 27, 2019.
The Korean Conflict cease fire has been broken by the North. North Korea claim the ongoing Joint US South Korea Military Exercises have ventured into North Korean waters and territory and they are being interpreted as a threat by the North Korean Government. KPA (Korean People Army i.e North) have invaded across the Korean DMZ on a march towards Seoul.
December 2, 2019. Operation Snow Blind.
ROKA (Republic of Korea i.e South) and US forces have managed to successfully counter-attack KPA forces outside of Seoul and begin to push KPA forces back to the 38th parallel. US fighters & bombers from bases in Japan and from the US Carrier Strike Group 4 move to eliminate all known nuclear sites capable of launching a nuclear warhead at UN forces. The UN is currently intalks to keep China out but increase pressure from the North could result in a break down of communications and bring China into the conflict.
December 14, 2019. Operation Snow Storm.
The goal of this operation is to assault across the Demilitarized Zone and head to the North Korean capitol as a retaliatory strike. With all known nuclear sites destroyed, the assault across the DMZ begins. All talks with China have ceased
December 30, 2019. Operation Snow Piercer.
Ariel recon shows KPA forces attempting to repeat the 1950 tactics of withdrawing into the nearby mountains to the east along the Taedon River into the Tawbaek Mountains. With ROKA forces, Task Force Moon, have secured the southern approach to Pyongyang, a UN coalition of mainly British Forces, Task Force Elizabeth, have secured the west. Then finally, two combined Task Forces of ROKA and US Forces, Task Force Smith to the North and Task Force Murphy to the east, move to secure their sectors. China is not responding to requests from the UN, and Russia has stated they will not intervene in the conflict.
January 2nd, 2020. Operation Snow Piercer. Day 3
You are part of Task Force Murphy. Comprised mainly of US SOF & ROKA .
Task Force Smith is currently in contact with large amounts of KPA Forces heading North, but no government forces are present. Your objective is to rescue the crew and passengers of Eagle One. They were shot down in the city of Chernogorsk, a major city with the Main MSR running through it that was heavily contested by both sides during the First Korean War.
Your Primary Objectives is to first secure the UH60 crash site. We had radio contact that they were being hunted by KPA forces but have since lost radio contact at 1100 yesterday local time. Locate the crash site and see if you can pick up any leads. There are 2 high ranking KPA defectors, 4 helicopter crew members, and a Joint US/ROK Squad consisting of 10 members. 16 MIA in total
Those two defectors are straight from the Pyongyang government before they turned tail. They defy the dictatorship and want to help us end the war quickly so their safety takes precedent.
We sent a Joint QRF, Romeo 6-1, into the city to secure the crash but they have encountered heavy resistance along the MSR & within the city. They have taken heavy losses and have established a CCP (Casualty Collection Point). Hopefully your numbers will tip the scale and allow them to move to the crash site. Provide support to them if its needed. Their route will be marked for you, we recommend following their to avoid heavier resistance, but remain cautious.
Also, if possible, provide aid and assistance to any US or ROK forces you encounter. It is not a priority however, if you provide aid you may be rewarded with support assets.
Expect heavy urban fighting, street to street. KPA forces are holding the city with an unknown amount of forces.
The only air assets we can provide for the time being is a UH60 that is for extraction only, but if you need air cover call it in. If that chopper goes down, your evac will be at the CCP
Search & Secure Crash Site, Callsign Eagle One
Locate Survivors Eagle One (14 Friendlies, 2 KPA Defectors)
Evac any survivors at LZ Trident, or at Alternative LZ Busch at the CCP
PROTECT DEFECTORS AT ALL COST.
